2012-05-05 Thread Henrique Sant'Anna
LibreOffice 3.5.2.2, Kubuntu 11.10,

Workaround this way:

1) Closed LibreOffice
2) moved ~/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu to
~/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu.bak
3) Started LibreOffice again (Calc)
4) Opened a file, modified and saved it
5) Recent documents was updated.

[Bug 950071] Re: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty

2012-04-29 Thread richard laurenson
Thats interesting. Had same bug (Mint12).

Removed HOME/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu.
I then closed L-O and it wrote the registry file again. Same bug

So I CLOSED L-Office, deleted Go to registrymodifications.xcu
Started up L-office and it wrote the file on startup and all fixed.

[Bug 950071] Re: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty

2012-04-06 Thread Michael Clark
Same problem with 3.5.2 on Windows XP.

1) I completely uninstalled and re-installed LO.
2) Created and saved a new file.
3) Closed and re-opened LO.
4) Looked at Recent Files list. It was empty.

I then deleted the folder C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application
Data\LibreOffice

That DID fix the problem.

[Bug 950071] Re: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty

2012-04-01 Thread metjush
Running LibreOffice 3.5.1.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 2 and this bug
still occurs - when I open a file, close it and then go to Recent
Documents, the list is always empty. And I have just updated my
LibreOffice package to the latest version yesterday night. So I propose
to change the status of the bug as it is clearly not fixed yet.

The best comment on this seems to be Leon's:

It seems the schema changed for Recent Documents, more code reading
required, but it is entirely possible that this has wider ramifications
for lost settings and profile problems - Stephan might have some insight
into that.

version) please let us know the steps taken in opening, saving and closing the
files.
There are cases where the Recent Documents list may not get updated (thru Save
As incl. initial Save, or when LibreOffice crashes on exit). It would be great
if you could take a look at Bug 37775 and see if that describes your problem.
Is it that a full list of Recent Documents disappears for you or
is it that documents don't get added to Recent list?
Do restored documents appear and then disappear from Recent list?

[Bug 950071] Re: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty

2012-03-09 Thread William Ranvaud
Thank you for your reply Björn,

Apparently there is a fix for this bug released in LO 3.5.1 but I did
not test it. (see comment 17 of link [2] below)

I found two interesting pages about the issue:
[1]
http://ask.libreoffice.org/question/254/why-is-the-recent-documents-list-empty-in-35
[2] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46074

Removing ~/.libreoffice did not work. Apparently LO is storing registry
in ~/.config/libreoffice but moving ~/.config/libreoffice did not work
either. I've tried all combinations they suggested with no luck.

So I uninstalled every package of LO completely from synaptic and
installed LO suite again and now it works fine.
