Clay, thanks for following up on it. I'll close this bug, though rdiff-
backup should probably learn to deal more gracefully with the out-of-
space situation.

Well, actually reading my own traceback tells me the cause of problem: I
have run out of disk space. I discovered this after the problem went
away, and has now resurfaced. There is no error message given until I
reboot or run a Keep backup manually. Manually running keep throws an
error message dialog box with rdiff-backup's error output.
