[Bug 965960] Re: xfce4-power-manager does not remember the brightness setting after reboot (fully power off the laptop and then power on again)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. ** Changed in: xfce4-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/965960 Title: xfce4-power-manager does not remember the brightness setting after reboot (fully power off the laptop and then power on again) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/965960/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

going over my system to see if there was anything else to report, i remembered i had decided to not install fglrx. perhaps this is why I am having issues with my brightness controls? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/965960 Title: xfce4-power-manager does not remember the brightness setting after reboot (fully power off the laptop and then power on again) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/965960/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 965960] Re: xfce4-power-manager does not remember the brightness setting after reboot (fully power off the laptop and then power on again)
I want to add that i did not have this problem in earlier versions of Xubuntu, i.e. 12.04.2. I am now running 12.04.3 and have this issue. the settings manager keeps my brightness settings, it just does not act on them. I have changed my set up to not automatically log me in... could this be an issue?
