If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . I will report it in bugzilla.kernel.org, although I never did it before.) I must say it hasn't started after an upgrade, but the reporter of this bug had been using Ubuntu on Macbook Air more to the past than me so probably he can provide more information. I must say that overheating is not brutal in my case, but the Macbook is kinda warm and that is a CHANGE -> with OSX it wasn't even warm. (of course when I enable e.g. HoN the Macbook is very hot, but so it was with OSX). The problem is in another place - it is not disturbing, but I think it is connected to it's lowered battery life in Ubuntu with comparison in OSX. Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.4kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags).
