After aptdaemon crashed apport says there is already a bug reported and can be reviewed in browser. Then an auto-dialog says 'unable to start web browser to open url. Happened again with similar scenario. Update via update-manager. Download and install updates. Use check-button to renew cache. Apport displays it's generic crash message, requests authentication to report, reveals it was an aptdaemon crash, which points to bug 971839, dialog window again says web browser couldn't be opened. Can reliable reproduce the crash and erroneously dialog when rm _usr_sbin_aptd.0.crash file from /var/crash. After removal of .crash file either run update-manager in a terminal or via dash. Click the check-button results in apport report.
