This library is already a suggests from 11.10 on. A dependency is where it's required for the application to work and a recommends is where it would usually be installed with the application. This also appears to be necessary to allow mdns to actually work as advertised for several versions of Ubuntu. I couldn't get my two local computers to resolve to each other with 'ping' or 'host' by name until this package was installed.
