[Bug 988685] Re: Please consider Orca 3.4.1 update.

2012-05-03 Thread Jeremy Lincicome
I used Espeak with Skype all day, and am happy to report no crashes! I
re-installed the Voxin engine, and the crashes I was having with that
engine are fixed as well.

Thanks,
Jeremy

[Bug 988685] Re: Please consider Orca 3.4.1 update.

2012-05-03 Thread Guy Schlosser
I installed the Orca 3.4.1 update, along with the at-spi2 packages, and
all is working extremely well. The problem with Pidgin is also fixed.
I am having a similar problem to Dave Hunt though, where the pitch is
not restored when returning to normal case. I am running Voxin though,
so would like to confirm that it's not an espeak only bug. I can live
with that though, so don't hesitate to put orca 3.4.1 and supporting at-
spi2 packages in precise-updates, so everyone can benefit.

[Bug 988685] Re: Please consider Orca 3.4.1 update.

2012-05-02 Thread Jeremy Lincicome
Orca version 3.4.1 is working very well for me. My only issue is that
speech is sometimes lost when using Skype. I'm not sure if this is an
Orca bug, or if the issue is being caused by the Voxin speech engine. I
will test with Espeak and report back.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Orca 3.4.1, from Precise Proposed, working very well, but Espeak voice
pitch not restored to normal level when returning from upper to lower
case. Possible Espeak bug?
