Public bug reported: This is a follow-up of bug 964893. Increased memory usage does not occur on guest account and not on laptop, both don't have compiz cube setup.
There is again a ~2 GB increase of memory usage when opening hud on firefox full screen mode. Firefox isn't responsible for ~2 min. When it all (cpu, mem) settled switch to another workspace open e.g. gnome-system-monitor and close it again. Switching back to the workspace where firefox is will immediately increase memory of firefox, hud- and unity-service. Workaround is to kill HUD by pid which will settle everything to normal values.
