I have done the kernel upgrade to v3.4 for precise (21-May-2012 09:41) on my brand new PC with Ubuntu 12.04 (with kernel 3.2.0-27) but still the wireless device does not work; it is there but no networks are detected. I also tried ndiswrapper to no avail: does not do the trick. After reading a solution (for Ubuntu 10.10) where firmware of rtl8192se was copied over to de new RTL8191SU directory in /lib/firmware, I did the same, but still no wireless connection and same errors as before in the log. While the wired connection was on, after some 10 minutes I suddenly got a wlan connection! Unfortunately, after a restart of the system (3.4) I could not get it to work again. I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce the error, since I switched the distribution from Ubuntu 12.04 to Debian SID. But I can tell you, that I'm running at the moment the kernel 3.3-6.slh.1-aptosid-686 which isn't affected by this problem. This error - as described before - seems only to appear in kernel 3.2 no matter what distribution. Do you have a way to reproduce this bug? If so, would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.4kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags).
