To be clear, I wasn't suggesting changing the default yet.  As you
say, doing so today would be a regression.  I'd just like folks who
don't require WPA Enterprise support to be able to test iwd (with
network manager).

In my limited testing (by hand, not using network-manager) at a recent
sprint iwd is orders of magnitude better than wpasupplicant in 'busy'
wireless networks.
