Well, with the help of a memory stick, I finally managed to run the

I tried live CD with 810 Alpa6 and I do have sound. :-)
With 804 I have to use OSS4.1 to get sound

Yes.

Perhaps I am just being silly - but I got to the site with the script
and then said to myself, "What do I do now?" I could not save the script
anywhere to execute it. (I did not have any removable drives handy). I

Well no I couldn't because I could not figure out how to run the script
while running from a live CD. I did run it under 8.04 and the results
should be there.

I can confirm that my sound works using the live CD of alpha 5, but it
is very soft even with everything turned to the maximum.
