This is odd. It seems this has been fixed in bug 84487 . Charlie or
Jojo97439 are you able to reproduce this issue in Hardy ?

it was constant, but I fixed it last night, trying again. I removed the sym
link and it took care of the problem. ampache themes installed as it should
finally. All this time and I never thought much of the link Thanks for the
help in the right direction to fix it.

that there be a new bug opened against backuppc for it's failure to
remove/purge correctly and include this bugs information in the new
report.  jojo97439, Jean-Baptiste Lallement does this sound reasonable?

I agree, it seems it's as you say, it's only related in that it was ampache
themes that found the error and reported it. Thank you for the assist with
this one, if misdirected.

If fails because backuppc has been removed but it's still enable in
 apache configuration. Affecting to backuppc.

Did you add backuppc.conf manually to the apache configuration ?

 Thanks.

No I didn't. I had backuppc on that system but removed it for some reason,
perhaps to work on later. I removed the sym link i found in that folder.
I've not had a chance to check if that fixed it with ampache themes yet.
