Re: [Bug 332795] Re: Hardware switch does'nt work my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 notebook.

2010-01-12 Thread Attila Hammer
Hy,

Now I updated my system. I upgraded the Kernel version with
2.32.10-generic (original update).
The good news is:
My wlan controller works fine if I turn on the hardware switch any time,
and turned off the wlan controller when I turned off the hardware switch.
I see Network-manager the Enable vireles connections checkmenu item
again when I turned on the hardware switch.

Thank you the fix,

Attila

2009-12-29 Thread Attila Hammer
Hy,

I look what shows network-manager panel applet my Lucid system when my
wireless controller is enabled with the hardware switch:
Wireless networks
Wireless disabled

ifconfig wlan0 shows the default informations with wlan controller (rx
bites, etc).
But this is true both my wireless controller is enabled or disabled the
hardware switch.

The rtl8187 module is loaded automaticaly both two situation (enabled or
disabled wireless).

This is a bug with network-manager, or bug the rtl8187 driver?

If you sending a link your requested need testing mainline kernel, I
testing. Or if possible apply your wroted new omnibook module, I
applying the 2.6.32.9-generic kernel and testing.

Now, sending you the disabled wify dmesg file and disabled rfkill state
file. Now, my notebook the hardware switch is turned off.
Interesting, but rfkill state file is does'nt changed, only contains a 2

Prewious sent enabled-wify-dmesg.txt and enabled-wify-rfkillstate.txt is
does'nt displayed my bugreport.
I hope this comment does'nt sent two time.

Now, I updated my system. Because I not found your requested testing
kernel, I tested this problem now with actual kernel (2.6.32-9-generic).
First, I attaching you the enabled wify current dmesg and
/sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state file. Interesting, but this file
contains only a 2 number.

Re: [Bug 332795] Re: Hardware switch does'nt work my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 notebook.

2009-12-17 Thread Attila Hammer
Ok. What place to found this kernel?

If I testing this problem with original kernel, you wroted:
1) Boot with the rfkill switch disabled (ie wireless should be
enabled). Verify wifi is working (if it's not please mention this in
your feedback). Regardless, then do the following:
1a) Capture your dmesg output and attach it to the bug report.
1b) Add the the output of doing 'cat /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state' to
this bug report
I not clean understand this. Enough to turn on my wify controller
hardware switch before booting, or need a kernel parameter to test?
Another steps is clean.
