This may already have been reported too, as there are similarities. gnome-keyring-daemon starts to eat 100% of cpu once I've given correct key for the ssh key and stays that way indefinitely or until I attempt another ssh session, after which gome-keyring-daemon will crash. My apologies, I indeed did not check which process is giving the dialog, as I couldn't type outside the dialog, I unfortunately simply assumed gnome-keyring has been wholly deprecated in favour of seahorse. Now as I verified by sshing in through another computer, it is indeed gnome-keyring-ask. Anyhow, I reinstalled jaunty on laptop today, to get EXT4, and the problem persists on fresh install. > > -- > ssh keys only work if manually added with 'ssh-add' not if seahorse prompts > for them > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339097 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. -- ++ytti -- ssh keys only work if manually added with 'ssh-add' not if seahorse prompts for them https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

For my bug, I definitely experience issue, I simply can not login with ssh key if seahorse prompts for it, only if I have before hand manually added it.
