Is this why I got the same exact email twice? I only reported it once. ________________________________ From: Omer Akram <om2...@ubuntu.com> To: emmgeeim...@yahoo.com Sent: Sat, July 31, 2010 8:58:22 AM Subject: [Bug 612032] Re: '4 New Emails' on startup 100% of time *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 612031 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/612031 ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 612031 '4 New Emails' on startup 100% of time -- '4 New Emails' on startup 100% of time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/612032 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “pidgin” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: pidgin I had Pidgin 2.5x, and saw the same problem as what I am reporting on Pidgin 2.7.0. Seems that every time I start pidgin, I get "4 new emails,' that really are not there. The problem corrects itself when a new email comes in, but that can be hours, if the message is not exited. I upgraded from 2.5.x on Ubuntu's (linux) servers, to the new 2.7.0. I thought this may correct the issue. However, it's still there. I have seen this before, which upgrades worked. I'm on Ubuntu 8.10, get updates normally, instead of getting the "deb" version from the Pidgin site. Could not get the info on "debian-pidgin-properties" to get a value. kept telling me "no command found." Tried with gnome in place of debian, with same results.
