Re: [Bug 84964] Re: Crash from ide_pci from generic.ko for jmicron controllers

2007-04-08 Thread Rich Perry
/dev/sdb is the SATA drive. See if you have /dev/hda which would be your
IDE drive.

I installed and booted the 2007-04-07 build without any problem. One
SATA HD on ICH8 and one on the Jmicron set as IDE. Asus P5B-E mobo.
Grub seems to get confused which mbr to install in, it seems to choose
the ide (/dev/sdb) by default. Fixed by specifying the /dev/sda.

 Thanks for the effort.

Not good. I have the same motherboard and was planning to upgrade. :(
Can anyone with a Gigabyte 965P-S3 confirm?

 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 (rev 1.0, bios F8)

Still does not work. However, herd-3 daily-live works.

I get the busy box. If you know of anyway of dumping the boot text into
a file, while using a live CD, I would gladly do that. But digital
camera shots is not do-able at the time.
