[Bug 103219] [need-packaging] dvbstreamer
Public bug reported: DVBStreamer is a Linux application to stream a service from an off-air DVB transport stream over UDP. http://dvbstreamer.sourceforge.net/ What makes DVBStreamer different from similar applications? First of all DVBStreamer streams the entire service, that includes the PCR PID which some other applications assume is embedded in the video or audio packets. Secondly the channels.conf file produced by the linuxtv.org scan application is only used to initialise the list of services and multiplexes, the PID values in file are not used. Instead the SI in the transport stream is monitored and updated when the PAT and PMT tables are updated. Finally DVBStreamer only retunes to a multiplex, if when switching services the new service is on a different multiplex. This speeds up channel change quite considerably. --- This application should not be confused with another application with similar name: "dvbstream" (which is already in universe): http://www.t2-project.org/packages/dvbstream.html ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Wishlist Assignee: MOTU Status: Confirmed ** Tags: needs-packaging ** Summary changed: - [need-packaging] dvbstreamer + [needs-packaging] dvbstreamer ** Tags added: needs-packaging -- [needs-packaging] dvbstreamer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103219 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 44686] Re: Pressing multimedia buttons on laptop with lid closed should not turn on screen
bug still relevant in 7.04 Feisty Fawn don't think this is a screensaver problem as much as a power-management problem. When I look at the Power History it shows that closing the lid initiates DPMS Off but when pressing the multimedia buttons the computer changes to DPMS On, turning on screen. only later when i open my laptop lid does it show that the laptop lid is opened. unlike the original post though, my screen eventually goes black as set to do, although not sure about timing. basically, DPMS should not be set On when lid is down on laptop and multimedia buttons are pressed. different behavior may be desired on desktop such that the screen does come on when keys are pressed, but on a laptop as long as the lid is closed the screen should not be initiated until opened -- Pressing multimedia buttons on laptop with lid closed should not turn on screen https://launchpad.net/bugs/44686 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 103246] Gnome-compiz-manager thrusts itself into .gnomerc
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-compiz-manager I have had problems during the late Feisty cycle during login, where my window manager is not started. In the course of debugging this we found the following in .gnomerc in my home directory: export WINDOW_MANAGER=~/.gnome-compiz-manager/openbox Apparently, that should not be there, and we should try to clean up the cases where older versions of the package might have put it there. ** Affects: gnome-compiz-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Sebastien Bacher Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: gnome-compiz-manager (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Sebastien Bacher -- Gnome-compiz-manager thrusts itself into .gnomerc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103246 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
