[Bug 243021] Re: rhythmbox doubles the songs in the playlist
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 225505] Re: Pidgin doesn't have auto-reconnect plugin
Correction/Addition to my previous response: The page mentioned http://wiki.pomona.edu/bin/view/FAQ/PidginChat#Plugin is not up-to-date. See here: http://www.pidgin.im/ChangeLog Quote: version 2.0.0 (5/3/2007): . * The functionality of the auto-reconnect plugin has been moved into the core, and the plugin itself has been removed. So, the Auto-reconnect plugin is supposed not to appear. Whether the Auto-reconnect functionality works correctly or not is an entirely different issue. Please, report exact circumstance under which Pidgin does not auto- reconnect or any other malfunctioning of auto-reconnection with Pidgin. Report from Pidgin 2.2.1: as in previous response. I will update the bug description. The old bug description was: title Pidgin doesn't have auto-reconnect plugin Binary package hint: pidgin http://wiki.pomona.edu/bin/view/FAQ/PidginChat#Plugins says Pidgin comes with the auto-reconnect plugin. 8.04 doesn't, and doesn't appear in the repositories either. [Bug 243062] [NEW] KDE 4.1 Beta 2 Packages Missing Plasmoids
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-kde4 Yesterday KDE 4.1 Beta 2 packages were released, and once upgraded, you lose the Folder View plasmoid completely (it's not in the plasmoid list) and several others won't function when added to your desktop (for example, the Show Desktop plasmoid). I am convinced this is a packaging problem, as I use SVN on a live image and before, during, and after Beta 2 was released these things worked fine and still work now. Steps to reproduce (Folder View) 1.) Have Folder View on your desktop prior to upgrading. 2.) Upgrade from KDE 4.1 Beta 1 to KDE 4.1 Beta 2. 3.) Log out and back in or reboot. 4.) The folder view applet will be on your desktop, but will be an unknown applet. 5.) If you remove it, and try to add it back, it's not on the plasmoid list when you rightclick the desktop to add an applet. 6.) If you didn't have the Folder View applet prior to updating, you won't be able to access it at all. Steps to reproduce (Show Desktop) 1.) Rightclick on the panel and choose to add an applet 2.) Choose to add Show Desktop. 3.) Show Desktop will not appear but a space where it's supposed to be will appear. 4.) This applet is also an Unknown Applet. Deleting your .kde and .kde4 will not fix this, also reinstalling KDE4 will not fix this either. Everyone that updates to KDE4.1 Beta 2 has these problems, and there are other things missing as well, as evidenced here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5260289#post5260289 I understand that the announcement said not to report bugs here about KDE4.1 Beta 2, but this is a packaging problem or compile problem specific to Ubuntu as this all works fine in SVN before, during, and after release of Beta 2. ** Affects: kdebase-kde4 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KDE 4.1 Beta 2 Packages Missing Plasmoids https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243062 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 219630] Re: please add geode to driver list in hw/xfree86/common/xf86AutoConfig.c
I've reviewed the -geode package in -proposed, and discussed this with Martin-Eric on IRC. Documenting the outcome of that discussion here. There are two changes that should be made to the -geode SRU if possible: - The changelog is incomplete, it doesn't document the fact that the previously-removed PCI ID is now re-added. This seems to be caused by an ambiguous comment from Martin. :) - The description of the -amd transitional package now suggests that static xorg.conf should be updated before purging the package. In fact, a static xorg.conf will be broken as soon as the transitional package is /installed/. This should be clarified to reduce confusion. We also discussed the -nsc package further, and I've agreed to accept a reduced SRU for 8.04.1 that *only* drops the geode PCI ID, a change which has been tested elsewhere and a case which is known to be broken today. The cyrix PCI IDs should not be changed this close to the point release. -- please add geode to driver list in hw/xfree86/common/xf86AutoConfig.c https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
