[Bug 474008] [NEW] xulrunner often freeze at dnsResolve() when using autoproxy
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 After upgrade to 9.10 and firefox 3.5, I noticed that on the some pages, the firefox would be freezed for a while(tens of seconds), then continue to work. At first I don't know what cause this, and suspect website's js. But at one time when freezing, firefox told me: >A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can >stop the script now, or you can continue to see >if the script will complete. > >Script: file:///usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.1.4/components/nsProxyAutoConfig.js:133 Then I know the reason. I am using autoproxy script in the company, then I tried one certain proxy and it work. So seems the following function is the root cause(I don't have this problem when using firefox 3.0): 129 // wrapper for resolving hostnames called by PAC file 130 function dnsResolve(host) { 131 host = XPCSafeJSObjectWrapper(host); 132 try { 133 return dns.resolve(host, 0).getNextAddrAsString(); 134 } catch (e) { 135 return null; 136 } 137 } So I believe there is some reasons that dns.resolve() didn't return quickly. [Bug 442629] Re: Touchpad too much sensitive after upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic
After a clean install of 9.10 64-bit on my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6960 I've encountered what seems to be the same touchpad problem. Moving or even just hovering a finger over certain parts of the touchpad (approx. the right 1/3, not including edge) causes the cursor to go nuts. It flies all over the screen and I never know where it's gonna wind up. I've adjusted the mouse/touchpad sensitivity as low as it will go with no change (other than to make other parts of the touchpad unusable). Also, it works correctly in Windows 7, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. [Bug 474021] [NEW] gvfsd-smb memory leak
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gvfs Mounted an SMB share using gvfs-mount (also same effect when done through Places/Network menu item in Gnome). When copying large files from my hard disk to the network share using ~/.gvfs/[share] memory usage of the gvfsd-smb process becomes large (had over 4G at one point) which could be a memory leak. This is repeatable - I tried rebooting and the process grows again when doing the copy. Ran valgrind with --leak-check=full over gvfsd-smb. Results attached - seems to indicate a leak in smbc_set_credentials_with_fallback call in /usr/lib/libsmbclient.so.0. Console out (redirected to file from a script) from gvfsd-smb execution has one line "smbc_set_credentials_with_fallback: allocation fail". Could this be a bug in libsmbclient instead of gvfs?
