I can confirm this. Is there anyone accually having no problems with nautilus integration in docky at all? I had this with gnome-do in 10.04, and now the same again with docky in 10.10, on different hardware and installations, so it looks like a very general issue! *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 556293 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/556293 This bug is not a duplicate of bug #556293! [Bug 393818] Re: libpaper should honor the LC_PAPER instead of /etc/papersize
Bruce Korb: 1. You cannot use printer as the only source for the paper size. For example, even if I didn't have any installed printers, I'd expect following command to work: $ man -t groff paperconf | ps2pdf - - paperconf.pdf Which paper size should the resulting PDF file have? Currently the output PDF file paper size depends only on /etc/papersize. If you don't have root access, you cannot currently change the result. 2. LC_PAPER should contain full locale instead of just paper name because LC_PAPER can/could also specify localizations for paper names (e.g. letter is kirje in Finnish and I'd expect this paper name specified by LC_PAPER locale). 3. POSIX locales include stuff like LC_COLLATE (sorting order) and (only in draft) LC_PAPER for paper size exactly for the reason that you may want to specify these differently. The LC_ALL is only a shortcut to override all specific settings. Could you specify which program the command ./paper refers to in your result display? I guess that's not a standard program because you referred to it with a relative path. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/393818 Title: libpaper should honor the LC_PAPER instead of /etc/papersize -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 684673] [NEW] Key 9 from main keyboard behaves as 8 in Wine if Lithuanian (lt) keyboard mapping is active (Workaround exist)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine1.2 Key 9 from main keyboard acts as 8 in Wine if Lithuanian (lt) keyboard mapping is active. This bug exists in all wine versions, including 1.2 and 1.3.8 (tested with Ubuntu Linux 10.04.1) It's very easy to reproduce (you must have lt_LT.UTF-8 locale definition files installed in your system, run 'locale -a |grep lt'): 1. Set keyboard mapping to Lithuanian and start Wine notepad in lt_LT locale: ubu...@ubuntu:~$ setxkbmap lt ubu...@ubuntu:~$ LANG=lt_LT.UTF8 notepad 2. Hold AltGr (right Alt) key and press 9 key (from main keyboard, bellow F7-F9, not from numeric keyboard) and you will see number 8 in notepad instead of 9 3. Hold Shift key and press 8, then 9, then 0 keys (from main keyboard, bellow F7-F9) and you will see ŪŪ) instead of Ū() This is very important problem for Lithuanians, as we can't write number 9 and left round bracket when Lithuanian keymap is active during startup of WINE, because key 9 from main keyboard acts like key 8 :( WORKAROUND: if US or RU keymap is active during startup of software, which uses WINE (like notepad), and You change keymap to Lithuanian only when WINE is already running, then key 9 works correctly: 1. Set keyboard mapping to US and LT, then start Wine notepad in lt_LT locale: ubu...@ubuntu:~$ setxkbmap us,lt ubu...@ubuntu:~$ LANG=lt_LT.UTF8 notepad 2. Change keyboard mapping from US to LT with GNOME keyboard indicator (it appears in gnome panel's notification area when you run setxkbmap us,lt) 3. Now key 9 works correctly - Hold AltGr (right Alt) key and press 9 key (from main keyboard) and you will see number 9 ; Hold Shift key and press 8, then 9, then 0 keys (from main keyboard) and you will see Ū() Lithuanian translation / Lietuviškai : Norint, kad veiktų kairys skliaustelis ir skaičius 9 su lietuvišku klaviatūros išdėstymu Windows programose reikia, kad pagrindinis klaviatūros išdėstymas būtų nustatytas į anglišką, pvz JAV (US) ar kitokį, o lietuvišką išdėstymą įjungti tik tuomet, kai pasileidžia Windows programa. [Bug 662288] Re: rt2800pci freeze on module unload [maverick i386]
Hi Tim, #9 is only a workaround till this nasty freeze bug is fixed. It is not a fix. Ralink 3090 pci devices are supposed to work with the rt2800pci driver. (See http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/linville /wireless- next-2.6.git;a=blob;f=drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/Kconfig;h=f2be1d35a5c8c8b32649c9c7e38db64d83682c37;hb=46af584d2ea86518c4cdf521903cd93ba6de2ec0 - especially the bits under ---help---) ***What we need to fix this freeze bug is a trace.*** Maybe you can try to get a trace by triggering the bug on a text console. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSystemCrash may be of some use. However, from what we found so far I do not expect the system to react to any SysRq commands (see earlier comments) after module unload. But maybe you get a trace by just doing modprobe -r rt2800pci on a text console (Ctrl+Alt+F1). And again: it might be a good idea to do an altgr+sysRq+S to force the disk to sync before you do something expected to freeze the computer, and always wait till there is no more disk activity. rt2860sta should not be in use. You can check with lspci -k. It should say: Kernel driver in use: rt2800pci. It will list rt2860sta as also capable of driving the device in the line Kernel modules:.
