[Bug 910379] Re: Gparted does not start and continues to scan devices
Well I was hoping to see an open() in there on /dev/fd to confirm that it is hanging up on that floppy. I'm not sure why it would change between releases of Ubuntu, but if the floppy is the problem, then this is at its core a hardware configuration issue. It doesn't really make sense to bother scanning floppies in the first place though, since they can not be partitioned, so I have submitted a patch upstream to skip them. I'll see about merging it into ubuntu. ** Changed in: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gparted (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => In Progress ** Changed in: gparted (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Phillip Susi (psusi) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/910379 Title: Gparted does not start and continues to scan devices To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/910379/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 912254] Re: Please upgrade to 8.3.12 for Precise
Hi Lionel, Given that DRBD is in mainline kernel since 2.6.33, we no longer maintain DKMS for DRBD. Now, given that the LTS still has the kernel module for DRBD 8.3.11, the userspace tools will continue to have the same version unless the final kernel uses the latest version of the DRBD kernel module. I'll keep this bug open though. Thank you for your interest and taking the time to report this. Hi! Thanks for your bug report and sorry for the delayed response. As you may be aware, during each cycle a lot of work goes into software-center. In an attempt to clean up the bug list for software-center I am expiring this bug because it meets one or more of the following criteria: - it would seem quite likely that this bug is no longer present in recent versions of software-center, - the bug report does not contain sufficient information for us to reproduce and/or fix the bug, - the issue is most likely in an external piece of code and has most likely been fixed since the bug was reported. [Bug 32484] Re: selection should default to free space
** Summary changed: - Unable to create a new partition + selection should default to free space ** Description changed: - When you first access the partitioner part of espresso in Flight 4 the - New button is greyed out and you are unable to add a partition. To - actually add the partition you click the square that displays the - partitions which then displays the unallocated space and the New button - is enabled. - - This is a subtle usability bug that should be resolved. When the - partitioner starts, the unallocated space should be displayed - automatically and the New button should be enabled. + When gparted opens, the menu option to create a new partition is + disabled. This is because it is only active when free space is + selected, and it is not selected by default. The free space should be + selected by default. ** Changed in: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium => Wishlist ** Package changed: gparted (Baltix) => ubuntu ** No longer affects: ubuntu ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #667365 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667365 ** Also affects: gparted via https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667365 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/32484 Title: selection should default to free space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gparted/+bug/32484/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 776070] Re: ppa.launchpad aplication cannot install
Hi! Thanks for your bug report and sorry for the delayed response. As you may be aware, during each cycle a lot of work goes into software-center. However, over time we build up a long list of bugs which are most likely no longer present in recent versions of software-center. If you experience any problems in recent development versions of software-center, please do continue to report new bugs. Thanks again for your help! ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/776070 Title: ppa.launchpad aplication cannot install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/776070/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 906688] Re: Shotwell flooding system with error
Sorry Clint for not getting back to you. I had to completely remove Shotwell for a while as it was not being loaded at all. Therefore the request was moot, ie; I was not using any method to load it. I had already tried to modify the launcher to remove any %U from the command line with no effect. After i had removed it and reinstalled it i had the problem only when launched (from Unity, command line or Lens) and decided to simply leave it alone for a bit. Eventually it annoyed me so much i did a fresh install of 11.10 and the problem no longer occurs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906688 Title: Shotwell flooding system with error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/906688/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 911125]
(In reply to comment #1) > If that's not appropriate, I could > add some #if magic to emulate g_thread_new() with a macro that calls > g_thread_create() if you are interested. For 1.4.x it'd be better to make deprecated declarations non-fatal, or even just silence the warning altogether. 1.4.x is a stable-branch, so it shouldn't have random code churn like this. For 1.5.x I'd appreciate it if you could do the g_thread_new() emulation if it's fairly easy - if in doubt I tend to use Debian stable as my benchmark of "your distro must be at least this new", and that only has 2.24 - but bumping the dependency for a development branch wouldn't be too bad, especially when it's only for tests anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911125 Title: FTBFS due to removed g_thread_init To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dbus/+bug/911125/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(In reply to comment #1) > This patch works, but it bumps the glib requirement for the tests to 2.31.4 I'd prefer it if this could be avoided, even for 1.5, until 2.32 exists and has ABI stability.
[Bug 911125]
Created attachment 55115 proposed patch Right-o. This updated patch merely bumps the requirement to >= 2.24 for the g_thread_init() part, and uses the real g_thread_new for glib >= 2.31 and a backwards compatibility shim for < 2.31.

[Bug 894314] Re: oneconf takes up half of the memory
Hey, thanks both of you for you report, ok, so it seems that oneconf never stops for you and there is a memory leak (this can be in pygobject for instance). I'm interested to know what is your workflow. Do you let something like software-center opened all the day? I never reach a high level of memory for oneconf there (and it should stop after 5 minutes of inactivity), like, no software-center, no update… -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/894314 Title: oneconf takes up half of the memory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/oneconf/+bug/894314/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
