[Bug 952306] Re: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s! [rtkit-daemon:1542]
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. You can update to the latest development kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. If you want this bot to quit automatically requesting kernel tests, add a tag named: bot-stop-nagging. Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.2.0-18.29 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/952306 Title: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s! [Bug 725988] Re: WM_CLASS needs to match .desktop file name
Please drop the patch! Don't change the window class! I think it is bad solution because changing the window class causes unwanted side-effects. For example, the settings in ~/.Xresources file are not working at all (LP #949126), and probably the other programs which refer to the wm_class to find Emacs window also will not work correctly. This issue affects only GNOME Shell users, but the problems caused by changing the wm_class happen to all Emacs users! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/725988 Title: WM_CLASS needs to match .desktop file name To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/emacs23/+bug/725988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 885730] Re: keyboard layout indicator reacts incorrectly
Hi Charles, I have already tried to make a list of steps needed to reproduce the error. But I have failed. Now I tried to reproduce it by steps in post number #4 with no success. I tried som other ways with the same result. But it still happens. Last time it was five minutes ago when switching to chat window... It looks like it depends not just on switching windows or workspaces but something else... I started to encounter this bug in unity but now I am on xfce and bug is still there if that helps. But I just installed package xfce4 on top of gnome so everything is still handled by gnome if that helps I am not sure what is meant by phrase "ensure that the layout is us" but I understood is as simply switching layout by shortcut as usual... [Bug 952353] [NEW] LVM based swap partition causes delay to booting
Public bug reported: Having upgraded to precise, the boot process keeps hanging with the message to 'wait for partition' before boot completion. The system always has to wait for the lvm based swap. No, the Xid messages are not documented, they're internal error codes to help us with debugging. [Bug 952368] [NEW] Evolution crashes (SIGSEGV) when I hit the Calendar button
Public bug reported: Any time I try to view the calendar, evolution gets a segfault and immediately exits. Looking at the stack trace (see below), and knowing that daylight saving time started this morning, that seems like the likely cause. I'm hoping that perhaps within 24 hours the problem will correct itself. It is possible/likely that I have some calendar events that are in other time zones, including one half-way around the world. This is a very serious problem for me right now, because I cannot manage my calendar at all. Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x0190827b in ?? [Bug 943010] Re: notify-osd starts automatically in gnome session and prevents gnome-shell from owning notifications dbus service
I can see why it starts notify-osd. My $GDMSESSION is gnome-shell, but $(basename `readlink /etc/alternatives/x-session-manager`) = gnome- session, so It starts notify-osd in that code. [Bug 765466] Re: unity launcher does not handle apps launched from shell scripts correctly
In comment 5, Gabe asks about workarounds, in my just duplicated bug 899333 a workaround for my simple use-case was to directly use Exec=gnome-terminal -x testmenu.sh instead of the desired Terminal=true Exec=testmenu.sh I'm sure that wouldn't work for everyone (have only skim read the other use-cases in this bug) and is not a great long term solution ... but, thought I'd share what little I know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/765466 Title: unity launcher does not handle apps launched from shell scripts correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bamf/+bug/765466/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
