[Bug 1789879] Re: Installation error with ttf-mscorefonts-installer_3.7ubuntu3_all.deb

2019-04-26 Thread Bob H
I'm pretty sure the download should be attempted from

https://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/andale32.exe
 and so on

not:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/andale32.exe

as in the error message.

note use of http and https.

[Bug 1826238] Re: apparmor doesn't allow to start with a non-root user

2019-04-26 Thread Simon Déziel
Those dbus rules feel like something that should go in an abstraction.
That said, neither strongswan nor strongswan-swanctl use the dynamicuser
feature of systemd so it is just noise, or at least, that's my
understanding.

the debian download does use a secure connection for its successful
download.

If I was a programmer I'd dive in and squash this, but unfortunately I
am not...

its up to you now.

2019-04-26 Thread Bob H
I mis-named the file above- it should have been ttf-mscorefonts-
installer.

Version 3.7 from ubuntu repositories will not download the fonts.
version 3.7 from the debian repositories will download successfully.

Version 3.6 from ubuntu repositories also downloads the fonts
successfully.

[Bug 1826534] Re: Pix workaround should be (partially?) disabled when DANE is in use

2019-04-26 Thread Lars Kollstedt
Hi again,

the 500second threshold is probably only trigggered when the server
greeting is replaced by stars, Which is still done (by default) by newer
Cisco ASAs, that at least support ESMTP and in the case we ran into this
also let the STARTTLS pass properly.

Combining PIXes which are not ESMTP ready, and DANE or other ways to
enforce STARTTLS would be deadly for SMTP anyway. So leaving ESMTP
activiated if STARTTLS is enforced would fix this in any case.

Kind regards,
Lars

[Bug 1789879] Re: Installation error with ttf-mscorefonts-installer_3.7ubuntu3_all.deb

2019-04-26 Thread Bob H
I apologise in advance if in my ignorance I have reported this in the wrong
place.
I changed the status from Invalid to Confirmed.
I am not spamming and this is not a support request.
As far as I can see this is an actual bug.
Bug reporting is not something I have tried often, I am out of my depth.
Should I have started a new bug report?
Perhaps I should leave this to someone more capable than I?

To see the bug, purge ttf-mscorefonts-installer. Then re-install it.

[Bug 1720131] Re: logind holds open file descriptor to DRI nodes, preventing nvidia suspend

2019-04-26 Thread Ard van Breemen
The bug prevents use of systems "blessed" with nvidia optimus.
It has been fixed however.
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/6908

I hope the fix can be incorporated into bionic, because it would be sad to have
an LTS release that can not turn of the nvidia GPU without rebooting the system.
Of course the fix is to upgrade to systemd 238, and the new bugs in 238 are
fixed in 238+10.
