[Bug 1972059] Re: One screen does not come back from lock

2022-05-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
I can't find any reason in those logs for the bug. Maybe try adding this
to /etc/environment:

  MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS=0

and then reboot.

[Bug 1973477] Re: unable to upgrade to xubuntu

2022-05-15 Thread Chris Guiver
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future
users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg.
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your
problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community
http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or
https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at
https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

You've reported your issue relates to installation (ubiquity is the
installer), yet your system was installed 24 days ago? You can convert
this bug report into a question which is geared at support. I've marked
this report as "incomplete" as it doesn't fit an installation (ubiquity)
issue & appears you're after support.

[Bug 1972812] Re: The operating system does not ask for a password after unlocking the screen.

2022-05-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks. Yes the problem seems to be gnome-shell crashing:

мая 13 16:08:28 UbU gnome-shell[22833]: GNOME Shell crashed with
signal 11

and then restarting unlocked:

All I can suggest is to try and find more information about the crash by
repeating the steps in

[Bug 1973565] Re: Upgrade to 21.10 not working

2022-05-15 Thread Chris Guiver
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

It looks to me that Unofficial software packages (not provided by
Ubuntu) have been added to your system, many from Tuxedo Computers.

Foreign: beekeeper-studio containerd.io docker-ce docker-ce-cli docker-
ce-rootless-extras docker-scan-plugin firmware-sof-signed helm linux-
firmware linux-headers-5.13.0-10039-tuxedo linux-

tuxedo-control-center tuxedo-keyboard tuxedo-one-theme tuxedo-one-

webfai-creator

Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu, can be removed
using 'ppa-purge' from the ppa-purge package to remove software from a
Launchpad PPA and try the upgrade again.

I've marked this 'incomplete', as this issue appears to be created by
3rd party packages (was it a Ubuntu install? or a respin from tuxedo?).
If you believe I'm in error, you can return status to 'New' after
leaving a message explaining why, or what I've missed.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Your bug report is more likely to get attention if it is made in
English, since this is the language understood by the majority of Ubuntu
developers. Additionally, please only mark a bug as "security" if it
shows evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries or to
directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any

[Bug 1973397] Re: Ubuntu 22.04: Display manager resets when trying to change it using gear icon in login window

2022-05-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it
will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

  apport-collect 1973397

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-
bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this
functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

[Bug 1973393] Re: auto go to left or first page

2022-05-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
It sounds like one or more of your keys are logically stuck down. Maybe
the = key and maybe others. Please try a different keyboard.

If however you find other distros don't have the bug then this might be
some kind of accessibility feature that's been accidentally enabled.
Please:

1. Settings > Accessibility > Always Show Accessibility Menu = ON

2. Click on the new menu (person icon) in the top bar and ensure all of
these are off:

   Sticky Keys
   Slow Keys
   Bounce Keys
   Mouse Keys

[Bug 1973405] Re: Ubuntu 22.04/Wayland Session: Crash when resizing snapped windows

2022-05-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To
help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps:

1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash
Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.

2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where
ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine.
Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please
send the links to us.

3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921,
reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1.

Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are
unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security
risk for yourself.

I can't tell which crash that is because there is no stack trace. But I
imagine it's most likely to be one of the two most common crashes:
