Hi, Did a distribution upgrade to 8.10 Sunday 26th Oct. and it`s still the same. [Bug 290021] [NEW] 5-20 second pauses on wireless network
Public bug reported: Using Intrepid, Intel 4965 I am noticing long pauses on my wireless network. I have tried both the included intel driver and the backport modules as suggested by the release notes and neither solves the problem. In order to diagnose this, I ran ping 192.168.1.1 (my gateway) on my linux laptop. At the same time I ran ping -t 192.168.1.1 from my Windows laptop. I do not see the issue on the Windows laptop at all. [Bug 197681] Re: cannot display this video mode
Update. Despite all software updates still no change, so I downloaded 8.04 RC. and did a fresh install. After enabling restricted graphics driver and rebooting I got a box stating "Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode screen graphics not detected correctly" and upon logging in a message "Failed to initialize Hal". System/Preferences/Screen Resolution only had 800x600. I reinstalled Gutsy everything worked correctly, Then today (27th. April) I did a Distro upgrade. After rebooting (kernel 2.6.24-16-generic) after logging in I got a black screen with "Cannot display this video mode change computer to [EMAIL PROTECTED]". I rebooted using kernel 2.6.22-14-generic and the "Ubuntu is running in low resolution" box came up again, so I configured it for NVidia generic and logged on to a 800x600 screen, this time I could set the screen resolution. Rebooted using kernel 2.6.24-16-generic and everything (games as well) works except I only get the top left corner of the login screen. [Bug 452790] Re: jamu.py crashed in Program._init_() from MythTV.py
As far as I can tell, python should default to whatever C uses, and processing floats should "just work", however that never turns out as planned... Run two alsa applications which using hw device, hwmixvolume allow you to change the subdevice PCM volume controls which dB range allow gain in addition to attenuation For any pulse application, it just control by the subdevice opened by pulseaudio server The hardware mixed signal are pass through your ac97 codec mixer, pcm playback and master volume for all applications -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551041 Title: snd_au8820 :01:04.0: BUG: , pos = 16386, buffer size = 16384, period size = 1024 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1551041/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

You may need to dump mmio VORTEX_SMP_TIME which is tick at 48000 * 256 Hz (what is the clock printed at the oscillator on your au8820 sound card) to find out the elapsed time between periods is correct or not - return (bytes_to_frames(substream->runtime, current_ptr)); + current_ptr = bytes_to_frames(substream->runtime, current_ptr); + if (current_ptr >= substream->runtime->buffer_size) { + dev_info(vortex->card->dev, "ptr : %x. time : %x/n", current_ptr, hwread(vortex->mmio, VORTEX_SMP_TIME )); + current_ptr = 0; + } + return current_ptr; -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551041 Title: snd_au8820 :01:04.0: BUG: , pos = 16386, buffer size = 16384, period size = 1024 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1551041/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
