[Bug 1009436] Re: package-data-downloader hangs forever when attempting to download through cntlm proxy
I believe this is revision 306: Rev 306, 2012-04-07 02:54:51 Author: dave Log message: * Properly handle non-HTTP/1.1 keep-alive (many proxies respond with 1.1 even when client is 1.0) and they happily add keep-alive connection, which we held open and 1.0 clients hanged. Now, HTTP version is detected based purely on the client's original request and explicit keep-alive/close headers are added to the replies based on its version. When close header is present, Cntlm actually closes the connection to satisfy truly 0.9/1.0 clients (even though parent proxy returned keep-alive) and now both 1.1 and 1.0 clients get what they expect. May need more testing, but seems to work OK in both the DIRECT and PROXY handlers. * Added more detailed debug logging of HTTP header versions from clients and servers/proxyies alike. * Some additional write() return value checks (some dummy) to keep new GCC from spewing the return-value-not-used warnings, even though we sometimes really don't care about the result. Adding this specific warning suppression flag in the Makefile broke compilation with older GCC versions. Attaching output of: $ svn di --old=http://svn.awk.cz/cntlm/trunk@305 --new=http://svn.awk.cz/cntlm/trunk@306 r306.patch ** Patch added: Upstream fix for HTTP/1.1 persistent connections with HTTP/1.0 clients https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cntlm/+bug/1009436/+attachment/3187586/+files/r306.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009436 Title: package-data-downloader hangs forever when attempting to download through cntlm proxy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cntlm/+bug/1009436/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1266078] [NEW] Xprint is deprecated, so remove libxp?
Public bug reported: Copy-and-pasted almost verbatim from Debian bug #657253: The xprint package is obsolete and and has been removed. A related library is libxp, which provides an API that enables client programs to access and use an Xprint server. Since we've gotten rid of xprint, one could argue it makes sense to get rid of libxp as well. A number of packages depend on libxp. This situation sometimes arises historically from the time before xprint was considered obsolete, with Build-depends: libxp-dev being set in the past and then forgotten and untouched. This bug has been filed to put the question of whether or not to keep libxp on the record, and to help keep track of the dependent packages (and the bugs filed against them). In Ubuntu, libxp6 is seeded in desktop for compatibility with third party applications that expect libxp6 to be available, see bug #21953. In package matlab-support, libxp6 is a dependency as it was required by MATLAB, however this has not been the case since MATLAB R2011b. ** Affects: ecore (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gridengine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: kterm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: libxp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: matlab-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: rox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: xawtv (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: xtel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: xutils-dev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ecore (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: gridengine (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: kterm (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: libxp (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: matlab-support (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: rox (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: xawtv (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: xtel (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: xutils-dev (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #657253 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=657253 ** Also affects: libxp (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=657253 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #623661 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623661 ** Also affects: rox (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623661 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #623646 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623646 ** Also affects: ecore (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623646 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #733137 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733137 ** Also affects: xawtv (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733137 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #733483 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733483 ** Also affects: kterm (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733483 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #733290 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733290 ** Also affects: xtel (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=733290 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #623642 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623642 ** Also affects: gridengine (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623642 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #623649 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623649 ** Also affects: matlab-support (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=623649 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #731441 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=731441 ** Also affects: xutils-dev (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=731441 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Also affects: ecore (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gridengine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: kterm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: matlab-support (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1258111] Re: Ubuntu installer unable to install GRUB to software raid
You built the raid array using the entire underlying disk drive so grub can not be installed on them. You must partition the drive and use a partition as the raid component. I did use the entire underlying disk drive, as this seemed to be the way palimpsest wanted it to be done. This was my third or fourth attempt at doing the installation and I am pretty sure I had previously tried RAID-ing the partitions, so that I ended up with /dev/md0, /dev/md1, /dev/md2, etc. but grub wouldn't install there either. I then tried installing to a single drive, figuring I could attach the second disk later. After installing successfully and rebooting, I found I had a single RAID device /dev/md3 spanning the entire disk and it was rebuilding. I allowed it to finish and I ended up with a seemingly working RAID and a working grub. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1258111 Title: Ubuntu installer unable to install GRUB to software raid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1258111/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Click on 'File' in the menu bar (or press Alt-F). - Now press Left Arrow or Right Arrow and the highlight should move left and right through the horizontal menu options (File, Actions, Options and Help). - Now press Up Arrow, Down Arrow or Enter and nothing happens. + Now press Left Arrow or Right Arrow and the highlight should move left and right through the horizontal menu options (File, Actions, Options and Help). + Now press Up Arrow, Down Arrow or Enter and nothing happens, the expect behaviour is that the highlight should move through the vertical menu options and the option be actioned. + + [Regression Potential] + This patch affects the operation of ComboBox, PopupMenu, OptionMenu and DropDownList widgets in applications built against Motif. + The behaviour of the original bug #1565 and previous versions of the patch to fix it were different on different display managers / window managers. I have successfully tested the current patch in Unity, MWM, XFCE, FluxBox, LXDE, GNOME, KDE and Openbox. + + In this SRU, I would like to include fixes for two additional bugs: + - the undefined use of sprintf in lib/Xm/XmRenderT.c where the source and destination buffers overlap (upstream bug #1628 [2]) + - an array bounds error in lib/Xm/DataF.c where _XmDataFieldIsWSpace() is called with num_entries = 3 (upstream bug #1629 [3]) + I believe the fixes for these are trivial and the regression potential for them is low. [Bug 1129409] [NEW] nvidia-graphics-drivers should indicate which CUDA version they include
Public bug reported: The nvidia-cuda-toolkit package needs to depend on a minimum version of the CUDA library included in nvidia-graphics-drivers. The current Debian version of nvidia-cuda-toolkit (5.0.35-4) does this on Debian systems by checking the version of libcuda1 and on Ubuntu systems by checking the version of nvidia-current, nvidia-curent-updates, nvidia-experimental-304 or nvidia-experimental-310. [Bug 1222747] [NEW] [FFe] Transition tcm, gridengine and mgdiff to Motif
