It was an automatic process on Ubuntu Feisty, so whatever it didn't
upload it left out and is probably a bug in the automatic crash
reporting tool on amd64 feisty (or others)! So, I don't know where
the other files are, but here is the entire crash dump.

I will attach it to this bug specifically, but it is 40 MB...

Just playing music. Only crashes when I have the Audioscrobbler
plugin enabled and configured. Disabled it and now it works fine, no

[Bug 75554] Unable to connect to SSID containing asterisks (*)

2006-12-12 Thread Kristian Hermansen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

Tried connecting to an SSID configured as "* we like baseball *"

NetworkManager applet (nm-applet) in Gnome fails to properly connect and
get a DHCP address. However, naming it something without asterisks
works fine. And iwconfig is able to associate properly. So, it appears
that the problem lies in network-manager-gnome or one of it's
libraries...

I cannot reproduce the crash. However, I was recently working with
some registry files from a Windows XP Home SP2 machine. I think I
tried to use the recursive listing feature on a file and chntpw choked
at one point. However, I was too preoccupied to debug it then. I
thought the least I could do was submit a report, and if you could
deduce the bug from the report, then so be it. I don't think I can
provide any more info, so it is your choice to junk it...

Re: [Bug 37798] Re: XGL's expose-type feature (F12) should not separate multi-windowed applications

2006-11-30 Thread Kristian Hermansen
Unofrtunately, I don't have a machine handy to test compiz natively.
I downloaded the Edgy VMware image, and upgraded it to Feisty, but
that fails to boot properly. So, I cannot even test compiz in VMware,
nor am I certain that would work anyways. When Feisty becomes more
stable, maybe I can try again, but please try to test on your end as
well or let me know if VMware compiz testing is not feasible...

You make some good points, and I agree. Let me ask you one final
question. How does Microsoft Windows Vista enable IPv6 without making
problems for the end users? Presumably, the Ubuntu users who are
experiencing IPv6 issues would see the same on Vista...
