[Bug 733349] Re: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking it's Launcher Icon
SRoesgen: I would personally like to see this too, but I do think we have to see the other side of the argument too. This is a feature request, not a bug (at least for my definition of a bug, others may disagree), and the this affects me too is not really a way of voting for new features but a way of judging the impact of a bug. So all it says is that at least ninety users of Ubuntu would like this changed. Ubuntu has a lot of users, and while it is well possible that a lot of them would also like this change we can't just conclude that without more evidence. The fact that we would like it may well make us more inclined to think so. And you also have to realise that accepting a patch is more responsibility than just changing some code and forgetting about it. Patches, even small ones (and this one adds to user-visible configuration interfaces, so it can't be treated as trivial) increase code size and maintenance work. In the end, the person writing the code (or their employer) is the one who gets to decide what it will look like, which is (in my opinion) fair as they have to shoulder the burden. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733349 Title: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking it's Launcher Icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/733349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 872207] [NEW] When Firefox is running in Unity, drop-down menus are not always shown
Public bug reported: This is something which used to happen regularly though not always (I switched to using fallback mode for a while because of it). Basically, drop-down menus in Firefox such as RSS feeds (or in Natty without the global menu the normal application menus were affected too) are simply not shown when clicked on. Context menus also fail to appear. This often disappeared for no apparent reason after I had used Firefox for a while. I haven't seen it for a while, but it has just re-appeared, possibly because I started Unity as unity --replace since I am currently testing an application's behaviour with different window managers. I'm sorry if this information is a bit threadbare. Please let me know if I can provide any additional helpful information. [Bug 966623] [NEW] White box covers screen.
Public bug reported: Not sure what triggers it yet, but every now and then a large white box that covers most of the screen leaving only 1 on the top gets generated. This blinds the launcher bar icons and anything I try to initiate. If I trigger the indicator bar settings icon I can only see the System Settings and the rest falls under this white box. Same if I trigger the HUD menu, I can see what I am typing but the rest is lost under the white box. Logging off does not fix this, the box remains on the log-in screen blinding me from interacting with the log-in menu. I can see the edge of the launcher icons reacting to the mouse under the white box so it appears as though it is just a display glitch. Is there another driver that I could try? I will try and make it happen, but happens at least once every two days or so without me trying. [Bug 966632] [NEW] Unable to move through HUD suggestions.
Public bug reported: Using [ALT] and entering into HUD I am unable to move through the list of options with the arrow keys. I can double click on a suggestion and get it to activate however. If I try and move through for example with the down arrow, the lower suggestion will be highlighted and it will revert back to the top immediately. If I down arrow very quickly I can make to the third suggestion or so just to have it revert back to the top when I stop engaging the down arrow. I can not make it to the fourth or fifth suggestion with the down arrow at all. It feels as though the highlight is on a spring and just keeps settling at the top most suggestion. [Bug 966658] [NEW] Indicator Date Time shows clocks that have been deleted from the list.
Public bug reported: In Time and Date setting I deleted the default UTC clock and added 3 more. Vancouver, Honolulu and Hong Kong. I then deleted Vancouver. [Bug 968885] [NEW] Keyboard shortcut overlay activating when not required.
Public bug reported: Regression Fully repeatable When using any of the Super+Left/Right/Up/Down commands the keyboard shortcut overlay activates. The commands function correctly and the windows adjust as desired. However, the keyboard shortcut overlay remains and must be Super key'd or ALT key'd away. Long press on Super will also remove it. Long press on Super will activate on press and deactivate on release, as it should. **All Super key shortcuts work as desired.** **Super+Tab functions correctly and changes programs as it should. ** **Super+Left/Right/Up/Down function correctly.** Not a dup of #963470 as Tab Switching functions correctly. Not a dup of #932338 as Workspace Switching functions correctly. [Bug 962984] Re: HUD keyboard navigation not possible, top entry always gets re-selected
The HUD navigation response is directly correlated to what is running in the indicator bar. I had the following running: Indicator-Mutliload Psensor PS3 Media Server Indicator Weather I quit Indicator Multiload and when arrowed down in them menu the selection remained for a few seconds before moving back up. It appears that when the added indicators refresh the force the HUD to refresh back the top position. I deleted the rest and it fixed itself. I can now move through the menu bar without an issue. I will re-apply the indicators and see what I can use and what I can't. Google-Music-Manager so far is running and is not causing a issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962984 Title: HUD keyboard navigation not possible, top entry always gets re- selected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/962984/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 960005] [NEW] Intel GPU lockup on laptop suspend
Public bug reported: I saw this in 11.10, and still do so in 12.04. Not sure whether I did in 11.04 now. A few times a month, when I resume my laptop from lid down ACPI suspend I find what seems to be a lock-up of the GPU, which remains stuck at (usually) whatever was in the framebuffer just before suspending. I can switch to a VT and back, same picture when I switch back. The mouse pointer continues to move and changes shape when it should; I can enter my password to unlock the screen saver and see from the mouse pointer that all applications are still active. Killing individual applications from the VT doesn't help, I always have to killall Xorg. I usually (always?) have the message [drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id near or at the end of dmesg, but googling suggests that this is a very generic message which can appear in lots of different situations. Note that I normally suspend and resume my laptop at least once a day, often more often, so this is certainly not highly reproducible.
