The issue might be related to the kernel headers shipped vs expected, and the problem may or may not reproduce on Ubuntu, as our kernels are different. New coreutils release 8.32
Dear Ubuntu developers, GNU coreutils 8.32 have been released on March 6th, 2020, yet the package is not updated in groovy. The new version has enhanced support of file creation time in stat(1) and introduced the "--time=birth" sort rule for ls(1). It would be great to have these features in the coming Ubuntu release.
