Hello everyone, As part of our continuing improvements to the SRU process, we have decided to require verification-done-RELEASE and verification-failed-RELEASE tags for bug validation instead of their broad versions (i.e. verification-done, verification-failed). This means that for a bug to be considered validated, testers need to tag the bug with a verification-done-RELEASE tag where RELEASE is the stable release name of the upload you have been testing. Same goes for the case of verification failure.
This will make the SRU team's job easier as now it will be instantly clear which series have been tested in case of multi-release uploads. It will also be easier for members of the SRU Verification Team to tell which tasks still need testing when looking at or searching for bugs in Launchpad. We have modified all existing verified SRU bugs to follow the recommended notation. The StableReleaseUpdates wiki page has also been modified as per the new guidelines [1]. Please remember that for new bugs the verification-done tag is not enough to mark the package as being good for release. Thanks!
