Call for votes: Developer Membership Board restaffing
The Developer Membership Board (DMB) has started a restaffing vote for seven vacant seats. The DMB is responsible for reviewing and approving new Ubuntu developers. It evaluates prospective Ubuntu developers and decides when to entrust them with developer privileges. There are nine candidates in total: Benjamin Drung (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BenjaminDrung) Simon Quigley (https://launchpad.net/~tsimonq2 https://github.com/tsimonq2) Robie Basak (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RobieBasak/DMB/Platform2024) Utkarsh Gupta (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UtkarshGupta/RunningForDMB) Simon Chopin (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SimonChopin https://launchpad.net/~schopin) Lukasz Zemczak (https://launchpad.net/~sil2100) The following further candidates were nominated after the initial announcement requesting further nominations because we didn't have enough, or because an initial nomination email didn't get through. Together with the initial set of nominees, thank you for stepping up to help! Nick Rosbrook Brian Murray Thomas Ward (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Thomas%20Ward) The vote closes some time after the end (in UTC) of Wednesday 26 June. As usual, the election is being run using the Condorcet Internet Voting Service. All members of the ~ubuntu-dev team in Launchpad are eligible to vote. However, recent changes to CIVS require you to *opt-in* to using your email address to vote. You cannot receive a ballot until you have opted in. Please opt in here: https://civs1.civs.us/cgi-bin/opt_in.pl You must use the same email address as the one I have collected for you for your ballot. This is generally @ubuntu.com if that is an alias that you have published in Launchpad publicly. More complicated matching rules apply otherwise. If you are a member of ~ubuntu-dev and are struggling to acquire your ballot, please contact me privately. I may need to identify the email alias I am using for you directly. This announcement is being sent to a moderated announcement mailing list. For discussion, Ubuntu developers should use ubuntu-devel at lists.ubuntu.com.
