Re: GIMP *final* release for Gutsy?
On Mon, 2007-11-12 at 09:49 +, Greg K Nicholson wrote: Aaron C. de Bruyn: It boils down to this: If users aren't running into bugs, why repackage? Because having “Release Conadidate” on the splash screen and “rc” in the About box gives users the impression that this is not a trustworthy, final version of GIMP. Is there a bug filed against the incorrect string Conadidate? If that bug gets fixed, then the splash screen image will have to be changed anyway. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss

I see it now. I never noticed it there. Is there any reason it cannot also be placed under the right click too?-Patrick Sebastian Heinlein wrote: Am Donnerstag, den 15.11.2007, 11:36 +0900 schrieb Onno Benschop: All of what you write exists: * To reconfigure a package: sudo dpkg-reconfigure foobar, perhaps it would be useful to add this functionality to Synaptic. Re: Benefit of Compiz to audio work?
There looks to be many opinions on either side of this question. I have also involved the LinuxAudio.org ML and it looks as varied as here. http://lists.linuxaudio.org/pipermail/consortium/2007-November/001826.html So we're still out on this decision and welcome more opinions. -Cory \m/ -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss
Re: GIMP *final* release for Gutsy?
There is a bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/145524 It seems that this is a feature, not a bug. -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss
Re: apt-cacher in main
Reinhard Tartler wrote: http://packages.debian.org/sid/apt-cacher-ng But I have not tried it yet. It will be interesting to follow its progress. apt-cacher-ng (presumably next generation) is more than simple rewrite of Apt-Cacher. It was redesigned from scratch and is written in C++ with main focus on maximizing throughput with low requirements on system resources. It is going to be in hardy, in universe. Chnagelog is here: http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/universe/a/apt-cacher-ng/apt-cacher-ng_0.1.1-1/changelog I will be going forward with proposing apt-cacher for main in Hardy as its a LTS release. I'll be writing up the MIR this week.
