Dear Maintainers,
grub2 (and therefore, Ubuntu) can't be installed on some UEFIs because of this bug: http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/4354 The bugfix <http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git/commit/util?id=842c390469e2c2e10b5aa36700324cd3bde25875> is already there for over a half year, but even though this bug is that big, you still have to build the fixed grub version manually. Debian has version 2.04 still in sid, but I would consider to jump to 2.04 earlier, to make installing Ubuntu on those problematic UEFIs possible for unexperienced users again. Regards, Oskar Roesler
