amsn maintainer AWOL?

2009-04-14 Thread David Nielsen
Hi list,

I have no idea if this is the right place to send this but here goes. For
months amsn has been broken, the filed bug contains a fix for the problem
but it has yet to reach the users. If the amsn maintainer is indeed AWOL we
the amsn users would greatly appriciate if someone could commit the fix and
issue an update so that we might once again enjoy working webcam support via
MSN. Being that amsn is one of few if not the only application to support
this critical feature it is a big shame to see it go unloved for so long.

Kind regards,
David Nielsen

It's my experience having used deluge that it's both incredibly unstable
and it's ui is quite cracktastic (just one example is how it shows you
the offset in the file but not the progress on individual files).

It shows promise but at present Transmission is closer to being a
candidate for a normal user. I'd be horrified if Deluge in it's current
state was made the default, it needs serious usability reviews and
stability work.

Sadly lacks options to stop sharing when reaching preset level (such as
1:1) and selective downloading of content (say I only want one file in
the torrent - Transmission requires me to download all of them).
