I am sorry, but I don't have much capacity at the moment to work on updating the packages only in Debian (to start with). But rest assured, this is the top most item on my open source contributions todo list (unless someone else is faster than me). Please subscribe to Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=934905 to track progress on updating the packages in Debian.
