Il faut booter avec un CD live.
Repérer la partition (par exemple hda5 ou sda5) sur laquelle se trouve
ubuntu.
Puis en console, taper : # grub # root (hd0,4) # setup(hd0) #quit
et relancer
le premier chiffre 0 correspond au premier disque soit a (1 pour b, ...)
Le deuxième chiffre 4 correspond à la partition 5
à modifier selon le cas.

dans mon cas, d'apres gparted, ma partition Ubuntu est la /dev/sda2
(/dev/sda1 etant la partition windows)
qd je fais
#grub
#root (hd0,0)
#setup (hd0)
j'obtiens: erreur 17: cannot mount selected partition
D'autre part, j'ai ouvert le fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst, en voici
l'extrait non commenté. N'y-a-t'il pas moyen de le corriger a la main
? (si c'est ça qui cloqhe ?)

Moi, bête et discipliné, je suis les instructions a l'ecran.
2 heures après, il me demande de redémarrer...
et là, Grub ne trouve pas les partitions affichées (unable to find
selected partition ou un truc similaire), quelle que soit la partition
Ubuntu sélectionnée, en mode sans échec ou pas.
Ma particion Windows, elle, fonctionne (ce qui me permet de vous ecrire ce
mail).
Que dois-je faire ?
