merci pour le commentaire, mais ça ne m'aide pas... moi c'est pour vmware server... en fait, je viens de réinstaller, en faisant l'installation d'une patche que j'ai trouvé et recompilé vmmon... la compilation à fonctionné. j'ai installé vmware player, et erreur, me disant que j'avais pas la bonne version... j'ai réinstallé vmware server 2.0 et encore une fois, rendu à 95% j'ai un popup qui s'ouvre en disant: "Power On Virtual Machine" failed to complete If these problems persist, please contact your system administrator. Failed to initialize monitor device. donc... je ne sais vraiment plus quoi essayé... merci encore! j'utilise la version 2.0.3 de vmplayer avec la version 2.6.24.21 generic et cela fonctionne à merveilles, à chaque revision de kernel je recompilevmmon sans difficultés.
