Hi all, -- Forwarded message -- From: Daniel Holbach daniel.holb...@ubuntu.com Date: Tue, Oct 28, 2014 at 2:12 AM Subject: Reminder: Ubuntu Online Summit 12-14 Nov To: community-annou...@lists.ubuntu.com, ubuntu-devel-annou...@lists.ubuntu.com, Submit and discuss any Ubuntu related news stories ubuntu-news-t...@lists.ubuntu.com Hello everybody, in about 2,5 weeks we are going to have another Ubuntu Online Summit. The dates are 12-14 Nov 2014 and you can register for the event here: https://launchpad.net/sprints/uos-1411/+attend Ubuntu Online Summit is your opportunity to find out what's new in Ubuntu, what's happening next in your favourite area, to contribute your ideas and bring up topics for discussion. To attend sessions, simply head to http://summit.ubuntu.com/uos-1411/ All sessions are linked from the schedule and you'll find instructions on how to join the sessions as well. As last time, we are going to have sessions falling into the following categories: - App Development - Cloud DevOps - Community - Ubuntu Development - Users Particularly the last one is interesting, as we are going to have demos and presentations there. If you want to add any session, have a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UDS/Create for instructions for how to add your session. Thanks a lot in advance and we're looking forward to seeing you there! Have a great day, Daniel -- Ubuntu-news-team mailing list ubuntu-news-t...@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-news-team Please be informed that I have proposed a session about Ubuntu GNOME and I am waiting for the approval. Although my time zone has changed and it is getting harder to catch up with what is going on in real time, there is still a chance I might get a slot with a time that is accepted by me. Regardless, YOU ARE ALL required to have a look and attend if you can :) The last UOS, I have attended and Aaron attended as well, but I have never seen any one else so hope this UOS will be different. Thanks! P.S. I will keep you updated whether my session and the time will be approved or not. -- Best Regards, Ali/amjjawad https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad *Remember: *All of us are smarter than any one of us. Re: [NEW] Cycle Assessment
[Artwork Team] Shouldn't - Plymouth needs some attention. Failed to stick to the plan and did not change it for 14.10 cycle. be - Ubiquity needs some attention. Failed to stick to the plan and did not change it for 14.10 cycle? Apart from that I agree with all of that. Our main problem is, of course, real life and our lack of anticipation of the deadlines. Cheers, brother. On 30 October 2014 13:44, Ali/amjjawad amjja...@gnome.org wrote: Dear all, Show me, don't tell me is my motto for this cycle. That said, kindly have a look at the very first NEW feature for Ubuntu GNOME Community for this cycle, that is The Cycle Assessment: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/CycleAssessment This is a 100% internal assessment where users have nothing to do with it. It is for us, the leaders of Ubuntu GNOME to do an assessment and evaluate everything. I have put lots of sweat, blood and tears into this today. I hope I didn't miss anything. I don't want to go further because that means more information, more editing and formatting, etc. Do NOT ever think for a moment this is an easy job ;) @Artwork Team If you see the figures unfair along with the notes, let me know :) we could have a meeting to discuss. @Wiki Team As always, actions speak louder than words :) @Packaging Team Tim and his team needs to review/edit if required. @Everyone I will NOT publish this yet. Once it is 100% done, we shall publish this to the public. For now, this will remain on the mailing list. This is just the beginning. The next step is two new features for this community so wait for more ;) I am so tired ... this has taken some extra energy and my day was very long as usual so .. time to ZzZz now .. good night :) -- Best Regards, Ali/amjjawad https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad *Remember: *All of us are smarter than any one of us. I'm sure we can come up with something better! GNOME has GNOME Love and Every detail matters and Ubuntu has papercuts, while they are all oriented towards development/packaging/bug fixing, perhaps we can come up with some semi-creative along similar lines. -- Ubuntu-GNOME mailing list Ubuntu-GNOME@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-gnome
