I'm 100% okay with your proposal/suggestion but I'd like to be extra clear
here so everyone gets the full picture :D

Google Hangout on Air is an 'optional' choice, no more, no less.

That said, it is not a must but it is up to Ubuntu GNOME Team to decide. We
could do both (IRC and Hangout) or we could do the classic and old school
way (IRC). This is 100% optional :)

But again, I like your suggestion except one important fact that your
attendance is highly important. The 15:00 GMT meeting (Plan B) is just in
case you can't make it. So, it is really Plan B as a second
choice/alternative.

I understand that due to time zone difference and Real Life that you might
not be able to attend weekly. So, you just need to let us know before at
least 24 hours from the meeting and that is all. If you can't make it, we
go for Plan B and do the meeting at 15:00 GMT.

I am going to propose something slightly different! now I can't do google
hangouts (apart from the minor fact I don't have a webcam/mic etc,
they just don't work here. I can't even watch live sessions due to the
stuttering and hang-ups)

So I propose we alternate weekly between IRC meeting at 21:00UTC one week and
google hangout meeting 15:00UTC the next.

It seems all those who replied and commented on the whiteboard of this
blueprint:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntugnome-brainstorming/+spec/team-meetings
have no problem with weekends which is totally okay with me. I can't on
Saturday as I have a meeting with another community and project from 17:00
GMT - 18:00 GMT.

Do you guys have any problem with Sundays?

I'd like to have a meeting (30mins - 60mins maximum) on Sunday every week.

I'm usually available from: 8:00 GMT - 20:00 GMT everyday except Fridays.

So, can we have the final decision? or shall I just choose anytime on
Sunday? please let me know :)

Thank you!

Before I go to do my tests and see a doctor, staying awake at 21:00 GMT
time was very normal. For the last 8 days now, I'm sleeping early and
waking up early so that time is sadly not good for me :( it would be 1:00

With timezone constraints and all, about the only time I can do, that will
hopefully work for most of the rest of you (presuming you are in the
EU) and that I can firmly commit too is 21:00 UTC on sundays or mondays.

[Vote] Time + Day for Weekly Meeting

2014-06-05 Thread Ali/amjjawad
Hi all,

This is a quick email and it is very important - please *do not* ignore.

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntugnome-brainstorming/+spec/team-meetings

I'm calling for a *weekly* team meeting for Ubuntu GNOME Team Leaders,
Members and whoever interested to attend.

Kindly either:

(1) Edit the above Blueprint (whiteboard) and add your suggested day and
time.

Or

(2) Reply to all (this email) and add your suggested day and time.

Kindly treat this as high priority.

I'm trying to be back to action slowing (still charging my batteries -
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2014-June/002040.html).

Thank you!

P.S.

You have *maximum 48hours* to decide from the date of sending this email.
