Ubuntu και Compaq Presario 2500
BCM4306 is supported in both edgy and fiesty. Fiesty support is better overall of course. You need to install the Firmware for your wireless to work. you have two options: install bcm-fwcutter and cut the firmware out of a driver. OR goto http://ubuntu.cafuego.net/ and d/l your firmware feisty - http://ubuntu.cafuego.net/pool/feisty-cafuego/bcm43xx/bcm43xx- firmware_1.3-1ubuntu2_all.deb That should get you up and running without any problems. -- If this answers your question, please go to the following page to let us know that it is solved: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/8698/+confirm?answer_id=18 If you still need help, you can reply to this email or go to the following page to enter your feedback: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/8698 You received this question notification because you are a direct subscriber of the question. -- www.freewebs.com/waywardscribble You received this question notification because you are a direct subscriber of the question. -- www.freewebs.com/waywardscribble You received this question notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Greek Users, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-gr mailing list Ubuntu-gr@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-gr

[Question #8778]: problems with booting two disks
New question #8778 on Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/8778 This is extension of https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/8687 Anyway, I have two disks. One is my primary disk according to BIOS which is 60GB ATA disk. Other one is the recently-installed USB external drive called My Book PRo Edition II 1TB which I installed ubuntu. Before installing ubuntu 7.04, there's windows XP (hd0,0) or /dev/sda1 . ubuntu is located at hd(1,0) or /dev/sdb1. I have another partition which is recovery in /dev/sda2. When installed and rebooted, I got error 25. I made instructions from community manual which is bootfromusb, but both ways didn't work. Please research about Western Digital My Book Pro II, and give me a adequate solution. If you do, you will be appreciated. Thanks.
