[Bug 116348] Banshee Crashes While playing a Song and clicking a Recommended Artist
Public bug reported: The Bug title pretty much says it all. While playing a set of songs I decided to click on one of the Recommended Artists and Banshee generated crashed and generated an error. I will included two files. The first called BansheeException.txt contains the error information that was presented in the error window dialog. The second file called BanseeTrace.txt was generated by running Banshee with the --trace option set. These files will be attached once the bug is opened. ** Affects: banshee (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Banshee Crashes While playing a Song and clicking a Recommended Artist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 116139] k3b 1.0 and 1.0.1 and video-DVDs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: k3b When I create video DVDs with k3b 1.0 and 1.0.1 on Kubuntu 7.04 from VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS sources, I get video DVDs which my Samsung Home Theater HT-Q20 can't read, saying PLAY PROHIBITED PLEASE, CHECK DISC With ubuntu 6.10 with k3b 0.12.17 on the same hardware and same media, I get perfect video-DVDs. With graveman on kubuntu 7.04 I also get good video-DVDs. I think the Samsung Home Theater HT-Q20 is quite picky about the format of the video-DVDs as my el-cheapo CyberHome *can* play the k3b 1.0+ DVDs, but the point is that k3b 1.0+ burns the DVDs in a different way which causes this problem. Something else, possibly related: with k3b 1.0+, the resulting DVDs have lowercase directory names, ie video_ts instead of VIDEO_TS. I can workaround this with mount option -o map=off, but it still is a 'signal'. I've contacted Sebastian Trueg on this, but no real progress so far. ** Affects: k3b (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- k3b 1.0 and 1.0.1 and video-DVDs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116139 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 116136] Re: Upgrade Tool crashes during removal of redundant packages
Thats quite alright these things can be frustrating lets see if we cant gather some useful information to debut this problem. I assume you will want to give this another try...lets try with no other programs running (attempt to work around the issue) also lets get a back trace when we do this, it will be highly useful in correcting this problem Instructions below. 1. Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~pitti/ddebs feisty main universe 2. Import Martin's public key to your keyring: wget -q http://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371/pks/lookup?op=getsearch=0x0DE7276D5E0577F2; -O- | sudo apt-key add - 3. Then run sudo apt-get update to update your package list. 4. The debug symbol packages have the '-dbgsym' suffix attached, so to install the debug symbols for the package 'yelp', you run: sudo apt-get install yelp-dbgsym Then please make a Backtrace. 1. Make sure the GNU Debugger is installed. sudo apt-get install gdb 2. Start the program under control of gdb: gdb program 21 | tee gdb-program.txt (gdb) handle SIG33 pass nostop noprint (gdb) set pagination 0 (gdb) run arguments, if any 3. The program will start. Perform any actions necessary to reproduce the crash 4. Retrieve a backtrace of the crash: (gdb) backtrace (gdb) info registers (gdb) thread apply all backtrace (gdb) quit 5. Attach the complete output from GDB, contained in gdb-program.txt, in your bug report. -- Upgrade Tool crashes during removal of redundant packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 63324] Re: exceptions.UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character
I believe the problem is that Cygwin only supports ASCII encoding. It doesn't understand non-ascii filenames. So if you have non-ascii filenames, you need to use the native win32 bzr, not cygwin. I think it would be useful if we had a better way of handling errors like this, so I'm not closing the bug just yet ** Also affects: bzr (upstream) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Changed in: bzr (upstream) Importance: Undecided = Medium Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed -- exceptions.UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63324 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 93315] Re: Mousetrapper USB mouse non-functional
Hi, I have more info: - I am running my Ubuntu in a Dell C400 laptop which is connected to a docking station - It has a touchpad. This is the output from dmesg: [17179601.092000] Synaptics Touchpad, model: 1, fw: 5.7, id: 0x9b46b1, caps: 0x804793/0x0 - This morning I decided to test an old Microsoft usb IntelliMouse Explorer. At the beginning, I couldn't get it working when I plugged it to the laptop's usb port or to one of the two in the docking station. To be sure that nothing was wrong with the laptop's usb port, I connected my Sandisk Cruzer micro flash memory. It worked perfectly. Then and only then, the IntelliMouse started working when I plugged it to the usb port. This is the lsusb output with the IntelliMouse connected: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 045e:0047 Microsoft Corp. IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 Bus 001 Device 001: ID : Bus 003 Device 001: ID : Bus 002 Device 001: ID : - With the hope of seeing my MouseTrapper working again, I replaced the IntelliMouse with the MouseTrapper. This is the output of lsusb without any of them: Bus 001 Device 001: ID : Bus 003 Device 001: ID : Bus 002 Device 001: ID : And this is lsusb's output when I connected my MouseTrapper: Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0d24:0004 Bus 001 Device 001: ID : Bus 003 Device 001: ID : Bus 002 Device 001: ID : It didn't work.
