It should be installed by default and available in Applications -> Accessories menu. It shows a nice graphical representation of disk space usage in any folder. Sorry. Gmail does that. I always assumed that it comes at the bottom. Like I said I installed everything from a command line installation so gnome, xfce4 , etc was not added.
