Re: [Bug 431872] Re: Difficulties to switch the selected language for the whole document (in the spelling check feature)
Hi, I got as an answer that the bug could not be reproduced (maybe I have not described it correctly...)... *The OOo window at the bottom clearly shows it is in English (UK) mode* *anglais (royaume-uni) in French.* * Changed in: **openoffice.org* http://openoffice.org* (Ubuntu)* * Status: New = Incomplete* I have found a workaround, which consists in changing the language setting through the window at the bottom (which works fine) and not through the menus (Tools Language etc...). It seems to me that it is 'changing the language setting' through the menus which does not work properly. Regards, Boris On 25 February 2010 08:41, Worik worik.stan...@gmail.com wrote: I have the same problem. When I saved a word document in ODT format the spell checker is using USA English. The problem is that even if someone fixed the bug (and no-one seems to be interested in doing that, four months on from the original filing of the bug), there is no way to get the update, since the ISOs are never updated after the original release. Since we can't even boot into the LiveCD environment, we can't get the update, so we just end up waiting for the next release. [Bug 522554] Re: Logged out when typing 2 or @
Gosh I have to press the 2 key in my password and I have to login always twice... Also for me this is the closest description of the behaviour I have managed to find. Environment: Ubuntu lucid, NVIDIA OR NV drivers. Signs: Screen shows distorted pixels on top left. IF I see a non perfect screen (some key sequence seems to be sent to terminal) and I press the key 2, the X server restarts. No strange signs on logs (ending on request). Second time I always get a perfect gdm login screen and I can login successfully. Never happens again, even if I logout and login again. SEEMS some spurious characters coming out from startup are pushed to tty7, and request a gdm restart AFTER the key 2 pression. This is mostly an annoyance for me, but for sure can hide something more serious. -- Logged out when typing 2 or @ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522554 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(something like : Oh I see you already have an installation on /home, you're a cleaver linux user so I'll make you save your datas, do you want to use the same user name or create another one and access your datas once Ubuntu is fully installed? 2- If it's too complicated, obey to what the user said. If he chose a new partition to be /home, don't look anywhere else, and install it to this exact location. So the user can try to restore is data hardfully later (mine are already lost). Once this is done, the migration assistant work perfectly and make the user chose if they want to import their Windows documents. re: [Bug 450569] Re: package openoffice.org-emailmerge 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3.1 failed to install/upgrade:
Misschien kunt U enige verlichting aanbrengen. hartelijke groet, Douwe Schaap. Re: [Bug 348204] Re: [Jaunty] Intel wireless 3945ABG is unstable and disconnects frequently
If you've just recently upgraded, I'd assume your previous kernel (the one that worked) is still on your computer. Can you boot the computer with that kernel and confirm you don't have a problem?
