I am a user of Linux Mint (In its Debian Edition avatar) but have used its
LXDE Ubuntu based version on a USB drive. Small size (about 580MB), all
programs needed incl restricted extras, java etc. Quite robust and full
featured. The regular version come with full versions like OOO (next version
may have Libreoffice) etc.

[ubuntu-in] Chromium fails to start after updating to 11.04

2011-05-12 Thread Mehul Ved
Hi,
After upgrading to ubuntu 11.04, chromium is failing to start with the
following error message

$ chromium-browser
[10289:10289:5200735120:FATAL:platform_font_gtk.cc(329)] Check failed:
typeface. Could not find any font: Helvetica, sans
Aborted

I have search on the internet to no avail. I even tried removing and
reinstalling ttf-mscorefonts-installer as well as chromium. It didn't solve
the problem too.
