Maybe I am wrong, but most of those "DOS" based comes with Ubuntu. It may
also be that I looked only at Dell.

Since there was no clue given about which store is The ASUS store , so i
tried my luck with at least three different places where the name of ASUS
was mentioned ,one of them prominently only dealt in ASUS so i presumed this
to be the  store Ubuntu folks have mentioned , this store  did not  have
Ubuntu based Netbooks at all also he tried to lure me into giving discounts
on Windows pieces and offered me some DOS based versions but No Ubuntu was
available with him, there were two other stores which had ASUS displayed
only one of them agreed and offered Ubuntu based Netbooks .

curiously found a Compaq desktop bundled with Red Flag Linux :-)

overall my experience not a good one like other Distro's in past so i will
let this case too for rest now.
