Yep, the problem persists.

However, this time I've tested the latest kernel under 12.04 and
everything is the same except that the wireless card and the bluetooth
adapter can be reswitched on through the System Settings.

[Bug 1208252] Re: [HP Compaq nx9420 Notebook PC] My bluetooth does not function

2013-09-22 Thread Хаджиев
Yes, it is present. I've checked it with the live saucy iso of today.

Two things I can make more precise about the bug:

1. If the wireless network card and the bluetooth adapter are turned on when
the computer starts, both of them are turned off and cannot be turned on again.
Even under Windows 7 they cannot be turned on. The only way to do so, is
through the BIOS and restoring the default settings.
2. If the the card and the adapter are turned off during boot time, the
wireless card (and not the adapter) can be turned on in this case.

2013-09-14 Thread Хаджиев
As of now I can confirm that the bug is more severe now (with the latest
Live ISO of Saucy). The wireless network card does not function anymore,
too. I can say only that there's a switch on/off button on the notebook
which is for switching them (the bluetooth adapter and the wireless
card) on/off simultaneously.

[Bug 1203686] [NEW] when the keyboard layout is changed by hitting alt+shift, the text is finished as if you hit enter

when the keyboard layout is changed by hitting alt+shift, the text is

If you try to change the keyboard layout while you are typing, for example, in

Okay, but on 12.04 where there's a package that provides this part of Python,
Recoll indexes the .pdf-s, and on 13.04 without the python:epub it DOES NOT.

2013-07-09 Thread Хаджиев
It may well be the case BUT I just play a song on YouTube using Firefox
22 or in Rhythmbox. In other words, I DO NOT set the PCM playback
manually in any way to be over 0 dB so I really do not know whether the
PCM playback volume is set over that value.

[Bug 1183145] Re: sound is distorted

2013-07-09 Thread Хаджиев
I've tried this with NO effect:

 down vote

Try sed 's/; default-sample-rate = 44100/default-sample-rate = 96000/g'
-i /etc/pulse/daemon.conf

That and sudo gedit /etc/pulse/default.pa and adding tsched=0 to load-
module module-udev-detect so it becomes load-module module-udev-detect
tsched=0 solved the issue for me.

For reference, the commands were put to my attention at
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PulseAudio#Glitches.2C_skips_or_crackling.;

[Bug 1163747] Re: LibreOffice Writer does not start

2013-04-04 Thread Хаджиев
Installing the entire LibreOffice package doesn't solve the problem.
I've checked the Language Support and some packages had been installed before
reporting the bug so that's not the problem, too.
Yes, it's a completely fresh install and the Home directory isn't a separate
partition.

[Bug 1071386] [NEW] YouTube video clips cannot be viewed in full-screen mode without dropping frames

2012-10-25 Thread Хаджиев
Public bug reported:

In full-screen mode frames are being dropped when you watch YouTube
video-clips (even when 360p resolution is selected).

This bug has been existing since the introduction of Unity on my system.
With the latest drivers and version of Unity/Compiz there seems to be an
improvement. :)

[Bug 1036229] [NEW] Firefox does not apply the system-wide font settings

2012-08-13 Thread Хаджиев
Public bug reported:

Firefox does not use the system-wide settings of fonts' auto-hinting,
anti-aliasing, etc.
You have to do these steps in order to fix it:

Basically, in Terminal, you should enter:

gksudo nautilus
Find:
/etc/fonts/conf.d

Then, delete the three files that start with a 10.

Once deleted, close the Terminal, open it back up, and key in:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig

Once you restart Firefox, you should see an improvement in the font
rendering.

[Bug 474612] Re: [Transmission] Peer not found. Restart the torrent. message extremely often

2010-11-25 Thread Хаджиев
So the problem appears in Deluge but it seems Deluge does not stop
seeding it (ignores the error returned by the tracker).
