[Bug 2062176] Re: Cannot launch armhf containers on arm64 host under noble
>The test case given in the github issue is invalid, because it builds without the default noble compiler flags of -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_TIME_BITS=64 so tells us nothing about what code is actually being run as part of noble that depends on the old syscall. It's not invalid, cause we can't require old software binaries to be built with a new -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_TIME_BITS=64 flags. Imagine people who run, let say, Ubuntu Bionic for armhf inside the LXD container. All the binaries inside that container image will use __NR_futex and not __NR_futex_time64 for obvious reasons. We can not ask people to rebuild all the software with a new flags, that breaks idea of running stuff inside the container. Isn't it? Hi Steve, I have described a reason of this issue above: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxd/+bug/2062176/comments/3 >So this is not a bug in glibc, This is not a bug. This is a kernel configuration issue. Kernel configuration has COMPAT_32BIT_TIME=n, but must have COMPAT_32BIT_TIME=y to support running armhf binaries properly. >Someone will need to strace this to find the guilty binary. [Bug 1904258] [NEW] Nautilus (Files) app shows drive that was pulled out without unmount
Public bug reported: I mount a flash drive onto my Ubuntu 18.04.5 instance. Started writing data to it. While data is still being written to the flash drive I pulled out the flash drive. Looking at the Nautilus (Files) window, I still see the drive. Running findmnt -S , produces some output. None is produced when offically unmounted. When I plug the flash drive back in, a second instance of the drive appears. When drive is pulled, but Nautilus displays the drive, clicking on it displays "Folder Empty" (or something close). When drive is put back in and the second instance appears, clicking either drive displays contents of drive. This might be caused by a reference being held by the program writing data to the drive. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1904258 Title: Nautilus (Files) app shows drive that was pulled out without unmount To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1904258/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

`mokutil --disable-validation` doesn't work for me. It gave the same "Failed to request new MokSB state" message, but upon reboot I did not get any prompt to re-enter the password. Had to disable secureboot in the bios. Why was this even enabled when Canonical-provided drivers like nvidia-361 don't have signatures? [Bug 1518430] Re: liberty: ~busy loop on epoll_wait being called with zero timeout
I could confirm that I could observe this bug definitely on Liberty on following services: neutron-server, nova-conductor. I couldn't confirm that for other because it requires additional monitoring/debugging. Steps to reproduce for neutron-server: 1.Deploy new cloud. 2. Measure CPU and MEM usage by neutron-server and take a look on strace of any pid which is associated with RPC worker. 3. Create 200-400 networks with routers. 4. Spawn 1 vms (not at once, you could just spawn and delete them by 10-20 pcs). 5. Delete everything (networks, routers, vms). 6. Measure CPU/MEM usage and take a look on strace of neutron-server RPC worker. Expected behavior: Everything should be the same as at step 2 with non-significant changes in CPU/MEM. Observer behavior: Huge CPU load (1-2 cores), huge MEMORY load (6-7Gb) without doing anything useful at the moment ;) Stracing of RPC thread will show ~1k per second of EPOLL_WAITs with 0 timeout. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1518430 Title: liberty: ~busy loop on epoll_wait being called with zero timeout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mos/+bug/1518430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
