[Bug 238762]

2012-11-04 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
Hi there.

Just a kind reminder that some rendering engines face problems like this
one when an active font has a glyph for U+200C whose width is larger
than zero.

Anyone trying to reproduce this bug may want to test various
Persian/Arabic/Urdu fonts. I suggest DejaVu Sans and Nazli (from fonts-
farsiweb).

[Bug 638217] Re: Zeitgeist doesn't restart after upgrade (Unknown method name: GetHistogramData)

2010-12-07 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
Working with the latest bzr code, I get this error too. I have tried
updating both zeitgeist and gaj repos, and --restart. I'm using ubuntu
10.04, but has already removed *zeitgeist* packages. Any idea what the
problem is?

Error:

Oh, I see. Thanks, now it's working. So the README file needs some
update.

[Bug 249909] Re: Virtual spaces are visible in Persian text

2010-10-31 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
I should note that bidi-control-characters (like ZWJ and ZWNJ) are
allowed to have glyphs, to be used in special cases. If an application
is displaying the glyphs for these characters, there's a bug in the
rendering engine, not the fonts.

Thus, this bug belongs to OpenOffice.org module, not ttf-farsiweb.

[Bug 634359] [NEW] php-pear should depend on php5-dev

2010-09-09 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: php5

Most of PECL packages require /usr/bin/phpize and some other php5-dev
files to get installed/compiled (i.e. pecl/fribidi), but php5-dev is not
always installed.

The worst issue is that /usr/bin/pecl (or /usr/bin/pear install
pecl/...) doesn't give user any clue on how to resolve the problem.

A simple solution is to add php5-dev to php-pear's dependencies.
Another one is to introduce another package, php-pecl, that contains
/usr/bin/pecl and set php5-dev as a dep of php-pecl.

** Affects: php5 (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 315922] Re: 2.6.27-11 makes brightness not work [2.6.28-4.10 also affected]

2009-03-10 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
As it's a kernel problem, not gnome-power-manater, this is a duplicate
of bug 313231 which has a couple other dups as well.

[Bug 287428] Re: Menu key emits XF86WakeUp on Thinkpad X61s

2008-11-27 Thread Behnam Esfahbod ZWNJ
I have the same problem with X61 Tablet too.

_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = evdev, pc105, us, , grp:alts_toggle
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = evdev, pc105, us, , grp:alts_toggle

Is it possible to fix this by changing the keycode for Fn or Menu keys
in hotkey-setup/ibm.hk??
