[Bug 1931902] Re: [AMD Ellesmere] Crackling sound on Pulseaudio

2022-05-18 Thread Cuppa-Chino
can confirm this also affects combination of
Ryzen 5600X
Asus Strix B550-I motherboard
Sapphire 6600XT graphics card

monitor is connected via display port

"killall speech-dispatcher" fixes issue (had previously used "pulseaudio
-k" but that is more of a pain)

could be that its not ddc just mentioned that as it breaks where you

[Bug 544638] Re: segmentation fault on fglrx module during startup reverts to low graphics mode

2010-03-28 Thread Cuppa-Chino
seems to be related to the ddc module -- I tried but failed to read the
edid via ddc of the built in screen in windows as well, suspect that
incorrect reporting or missing functionality for the inbuilt screen on
this Sony Vaio E-Series is to be blamed.

booting with external monitor was so far not successful also failed to
disable EDID / DDC via xorg.conf so far

[Bug 549808] [NEW] Instant HARD reboot instead of shutdown

2010-03-27 Thread Cuppa-Chino
Public bug reported:

Since updates installed today 27.Mar2010 I get a HARD reboot on my amd64
lucid beta system instead of shutdown no matter which method I use.
Irrespective if I use Gnome Shutdown button, GDM login shutdown button
or terminal sudo shutdown -P now, I always get an instantaneous hard
reboot, black screen couple of seconds, boot logo and then grub -- no
ordered shutdown or anything.
