[Bug 1033572] [NEW] Shotwell 0.12.3 consumes massive amount of RAM if auto-import is on and you have a large photo library
Public bug reported: When initially trying to import all of my photos (about 27 000, man RAWs), Shotwell kept crashing. I discovered it ran out of memory during the operation. I finally managed to get it to finish by increasing my swap space to 32GB. However, everytime I launch the application while the watch library directory for new files option is switched on, it starts an auto-import process (even if there are no new files) and the application ends up consuming a huge amount of RAM that it never releases. [Bug 552201] [NEW] Gwibber opens maximised in the traditional fashion on UNE
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gwibber I have noticed this on two different machines. Instead of opening fully maximized on UNE (i.e. without a title bar), gwibber opens with title bar and window controls visible. If it is maximized a second time, it does so in the correct fashion. See screenshots for illustration: screenshot 1 is how it opens, screenshot 2 is after clicking the maximise button twice (to unmax and max again). ** Affects: gwibber (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gwibber opens maximised in the traditional fashion on UNE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552201 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Actually, what gets me into x.org is to first press ctrl-alt-F10 (or F9) and then ctrl-alt-F7 (pressing ctrl-alt-F7 directly does not work). I am then confronted by the UNE-lanucher and a popup asking for my keyring password (in order to access the PSK for the secure WLAN). Public bug reported: After installing UNE lucid alpha 3 on my Asus EeePC I often boot into a sort of text mode (but the cursor seems like an X cursor and the text is not the standard text mode) - any key pressed types garbage on the screen (e.g. ^Z and a block), but pressing Alt-F10 (I think - I tried a few) gets me back into Xorg with the UNE launcher. [Bug 453072] Re: Context menu for an USB pendrive shows Unmount, Eject and Safely Remove Drive
Luke makes a good point. I would go even further and suggest that unmount should not be available anywhere in Nautilus, but that advanced users should go to Palimpsest or the terminal to unmount. -- Context menu for an USB pendrive shows Unmount, Eject and Safely Remove Drive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453072 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 467278] Re: South African English Dictionary still missing lots of words
Thanks for submitting a patch, Dwayne. I notice, though that the bug is unassigned, which worries me somewhat. I've also nominated for release, given that it is now trivial to fix. -- South African English Dictionary still missing lots of words https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/467278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 501006] [NEW] Huawei USB modem intermittently not detected: loop of deferring support check
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager I'm running Karmic x64 on an Acer TravelMate 6292. When I plug in my Huawei E172 USB HSPA modem, it sometimes shows up in Network Manager and other times not. I can sometimes fix it by unplugging and plugging in again (in another USB port).
